How we work together

Shock Proof Investments is the main holding company and deals with engineered tools and machinery. Shock Proof Investments has been supplying the industry since 2004 and has fast grown to be the largest in our industry, the company’s primary focus is in developing and manufacturing products for the timber treatment industry as well as the roof truss product Industry. We at Shockproof boast a 2040m/2 factory with 56 staff. All our staff have been trained by either a skills development program or we provide them with training and schooling to achieve tradesman status.

Our factory is based in Howick Kwa-Zulu Natal, the holding company Shock Proof Investments (Pty) Ltd was formed in 2002 to provide a solution to the anti-split requirements for eucalyptus poles. The business structure involves an extensive tool room, general engineering, slitting and rewinding and metal press shop. Our full product range is and is manufactured to the required specification in the roofing & building industry. One of our products has been tested by South African Bureau of Standards (SABS)…test report No. 2538/2589E/MT11 to establish the tensile holding capacity of  a nail plate submitted by Shock Proof Investments (Pty) Ltd. Products need to be compliant to the SABS754/753/457 specifications. In addition we have had products tested by the KZN University. Shock Proof Investments (Pty) Ltd is proudly South African.



What we do?

Shock Proof Investments is a local supplier of roofing connectors, nail plates, anti- split nail plates, truss hangers, multi-purpose brackets, bracing strap, hoop iron, cleats, hinges and all other related steel products for both the roofing industry as well as the timber treatment industry. All of our products we manufacture and supply are of the highest quality. We pride ourselves on service delivery.

We have five depots around South Africa:

Johannesburg/Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu-Natal, Western Cape, Eastern Cape & Lowveld/Nelspruit.

Our prime objective is to supply quality at competitive prices.
